Russian heirloom has a dedicated following amongst tomato lovers due to its distinctive rich earthy, smoky flavour with a good acid/sweet balance. A great tasting early, red tomato for cooler climates. As the name suggests it can set fruit in places where summer can be slow to start. A versatile medium round tomato with a slight acidic flavour. It can handle cooler weather but not frosts. While a determinate variety it still requires staking. 40 seeds.

Forget your prejudice against turnips. This variety tastes better and stays smoother as it sizes, while other turnips get a coarser flesh. A popular heirloom dating back to the late 1800’s. Smooth, round roots with bright purple shoulders and a white bottom. Roots grows to 15cm, but tastiest when roots are 6-10cm in diameter. A fast growing, superb eating Japanese Turnip. The beauty of this turnip is that it has sweet, smooth flesh and can be harvested at all stages of growth, from small to large size roots (5-15 cm) without getting pithy. The globe shaped roots have a white flesh and skin and maintain a sweet, mild, crisp flesh. Can be sown from spring to autumn, mature early and are slow to bolt. 50 seeds.

This sharp-flavoured, perennial salad herb is a delicious, fast growing plant high in vitamin C. Perfect for green salads, sandwiches or garnish. Harvest leaves as needed or harvest whole rosette. Can easily be grown in moist soil in half shade; or grow in a pot and place pot in a tray with water. Change water regularly so it does not go stagnant. 350 seeds.
