Botanical Name
Papaver rhoeas 'Peace Mix'

A cheery & hopeful mix of bright red & white poppies. The red, or ‘Flanders’, poppy has long been associated with remembering those who have fallen at war. The white poppy was introduced in 1933 when a British women's guild, concerned that the red poppy was being used to promote military power, offered the white to symbolise the belief that conflict could be resolved in ways other than war. Easily grown in a sunny position, it looks beautiful if mass planted. Self seeds. 700 seeds.
